KVINFO is looking for a programme advisor based in our Rabat-office
KVINFO’s department for the Middle East and North Africa has, since 2006, worked towards a more gender equal society and to improve women’s rights in the MENA region. KVINFO’s programme activities are based on more than 70 partnerships between organisations and institutions in Denmark and the MENA region. Morocco is one of the main countries of our activities.
KVINFO’s MENA department is seeking a programme advisor with special focus on Morocco for the daily running and development of the programmes and partnerships. The programme advisors work in teams within the following thematic areas: women’s political and economic participation; legal reform; combating gender based violence; and documentation of and research in gender issues and equality. The working language in the department is English and frequent travelling to Denmark and within the MENA region is required.
Main responsibilities for the position include:
Heading the Rabat office
Programme development and management (financially, administratively and technically)
Maintaining and developing partnerships
Qualifications required for the positions:
Solid work experience from international project/programme activities preferably as programme advisor/project manager in civil society organisation
Relevant work experience from the MENA region
Relevant university degree
Strong analytical and communication skills
Fluency in English, French and Arabic
Professional or educational experience within the field of gender
Knowledge of Moroccan public administration and legislation
A strong network among Moroccan civil society organisations
Salary and terms of employment
The position is a full-time position. Starting date is August 18, 2013 and you will report to the head of KVINFO’s MENA department. The position is a local Moroccan employment and you will be based in Rabat and have office in the Cooperation Section of the Danish Embassy. Work hours follow those of the Embassy, Monday – Friday 8.30-16.00 but flexibility will be needed for travels, delegation visits and other activities.
Salary commensurate with qualifications.
